Episode 90- The 1911 for LE and the Armed Citizen w Hany

Hany is back again. Hany is a long time “1911 Guy”. The 1911 platform has exceeded its original expectations and evolved many times over the years and continues to be a preferred platform. I have a long history with the 1911 and 2011 as well. In this episode we discuss the pro’s and con’s for the LE crowd and the Armed citizen crowd. Are you considering jumping in to a 1911/2011? If so you won’t want to miss this episode.

Brian – really like your podcast. In E90, you mentioned some do’s and don’ts in handling 1911’a. One example you cited was not dropping the magazine when the chamber is empty. I am new to the 1911 platform and just recently purchased my first one (Bul Armory commander style chambered in 45 acp ). Do you an information source that I could use to become more familiar with handling my 1911? Keep up the good work.
    Thx

    Jim

DON’T drop the slide on an empty chamber. Ease it down. Slamming the slide home without a round buffering it into the chamber can cause damage. As far as resources for handling look at 10-8 Youtube Channel as well as the Wilson Combat youtube channel.

      thanks Jim!
