John Daub joins me today. We often hear the phrase “train like you fight” but how manyh people actually do it? John and I shot a few classes at Taccon together and I’ve always admired that he carry’s on the range what he carries every day from the gun to the holster and all points in between. John has been in the process of evaluating a minimum competency for concealed carrier’s to allow them to maximize training time investments. Are you time limited? Then you won’t want to miss todays episode as we explore how minimal your training can be and still maintain a level of proficiency.

Bryan just returned from Tom Givens Rangemaster Instructor Course hosted by Apache Solutions in Yadkinville North Carolina. Read MoreSpecial Episode – School Security W DB
This Episode was not scheduled in advance. After the events of Uvalde TX I was reached out to by several listeners that recommended I get ahold of our old pal DB. DB spent many years running a security team for a very high end private school in Southern California where many of the richest families in Hollywood sent their children. I let DB take the reins and run with this one. Many people are surprised to hear some of the realities of school security and that it goes far beyond installing “Officer Friendly” as the school resource officer. The only way to assure changes are going to be made is to get involved at the local level and tune in to your local school board meetings. Thank you for listening.

Sorry for the delays in getting content out I have been out in training land for the last couple weeks.

From 1946 to 2016 planet earth was fortunate enough to be graced by a giant among men. The gunfighters’ gunfighter, the riflemans’ rifleman, the Marine’s Marine, the cops’ cop and the firearms instructor’s instructor one Patrick Rogers. Today I hosted a roundtable with three guy’s who spent a large amount of time with Pat. DB from the west coast, Wayne from Texas and Justin Dyal from the east coast. Their locations alone speak to the broad spanning legacy Pat left on the shooting community. Caution there is some ‘Colorful Language’ in this episode. Thanks for letting me host this episode to pay tribute to such great man.

This podcast topic quite possibly takes the Darwin Training Award for this century. An agency has decided that training shooting to “wound” is now somewhere on the scale of reasonably necessary…..I do believe I have seen and heard it all at this point. For those armed citizens out there, just don’t. Darryl Bolke joins me again and after the steam stopped coming out of our ears from the abject recklessness of this concept we put our heads together for a Podcast. We called on our combined years of actual knowledge on the subject to tell you the listener SHOOTING TO WOUND IS A TERRIBLE IDEA.
